Princess House, a well established brand in the housewares industry, had requested development on a collection of cooking utensils for their Culinario Series line. This category breaks away from their more classic pieces which have floral designs and ornate elements. Existing products in the Culinario line have a clean flowing aesthetic. Materials primarily inlclude stainless steel and dark silicone overmolds. This project included an initial concept development phase all the way to final engineered data for production.
Initial handle shapes were modeled and 3-D printed. The client evaluated each handle for comfort and overal shape. A handle form was then chosen for further development. Working with the client through numerous revisions and sample prints, we would ensure that the final handle would be comfortable in all its usage patterns.
