Brief
Somethinksounds: a new independent record label based between London and Berlin.
 
The label will release (vinyl and digital) work from original artists, organise promotional release events and undertake club nights throughout Europe.
 
Target Audience
Young fun loving party goers (18-30).

LOGO ON BACKGROUND
MOOD ENHANCERS:
As we cover all music genres from house & techno to electro & disco. Mood enhancers is a way to demonstrate the variation of feels and moods in music.
We used Alcohol microscope images, As they are relevant to the target audience.
MOOD LOGO
Each image is used as a background to communicate a different mood, style of music, or even an individual artist.
However, the core brand design will remain the same.
Even though the patterns and colours change the overall look and feel of the brand identity will still be consistent.

AMBIENT
This is the master corporate image to use when the logo isn't being used in any communication associated with particular artist.
GEOMETRIC SHAPES
Backgrounds can also be used with geometric shapes which again can be different over various different pieces of communication.
LOGO POSITIONING ON PHOTOGRAPHS
When using photographs, keep the feel and tone of voice consistent. Images must express happy feeling, craziness, illusion, energy drinks, sex, drugs, dancing, DJing, hot, action, clubbing, good music, having fun.
Logo should be positioned on all images from parties.

TYPOGRAPHY
TYPESETTING GUIDES
Use images in most of our communications as well as text. Placement is inspired by the S logo, enlarging and making it horizontal creates two separate areas, top left for image and right bottom for text.
When designing use photoshop to edit images, then import them into illustrator.
Text is align left at all times. Spacing is always on auto. Leading can change depending on the amount of information given.
Text should never be close to the edges. Create yellow baorder where text shouldn't go beyond it.
