Big Pig Gig - Pig Stripe Suit
In 2012, Cincinnati hosted the World Choir Games and local non-profit ArtWorks marked the occasion with the public art project the Big Pig Gig. Oversized fiberglass pigs (4.5’ x 4’) were decorated by local artists and placed around the central business district to welcome visitors.

My pig design proposal “Pig Stripe Suit” was selected by sponsor Merrill Lynch. This giant piggy was all business, sporting a power suit complete with red necktie. I painted him with latex exterior house paint, and he received an industrial clear coat when complete. He spent the entire summer standing guard and posing for pictures in front of the Westin Hotel across from Fountain Square. That November, Pig Stripe Suit was one of only 11 pigs auctioned off at the 7th annual Secret Artworks event. All proceeds raised benefited ArtWorks' programs.
