In 2013, I changed the invitations changed to self-mailing cards from formal cards in white envelopes. This increased the open rate, and an increase in website visits was seen in the days immediately following the mailing.

After the event, books including photos of the speaker and related events were created and distributed to the speaker, the sponsor, and the organizers.

Books are used as a tool schedule new speakers, as well as a recruitment tool for graduate students to the Nutrition program.
