A series of patterned flash cards for people who don't speak Mandarin so well. The patterns are inspired both by the nature of the phrase taught as well as Chinese bamboo shoots/weave baskets. The somewhat overwhelming patterns and complicated text also serve to express my ever constant struggle with the language and how it appears to me.
I created 60 cards covering three main areas where you might need to speak Mandarin:
1. How to say you don't understand (and supporting phrases)
2. What to say at family gatherings
3. How to be a master pick up artist (success not guaranteed)
