Watercolor Pencil Practice Week.

A while ago I was given a box of Caran D'ache Prismalo I Watercolor pencils (Swiss Made) and never got the guts to put them in use. This fear to new expresive media conditioned me and I relate it to my lack of expertice, a non automatic thing. So I shook up my fear and sailed to the first step in descovering: The Practice.
(In a self-taught way)
My first attempt was a disaster of blury proportions:
Sketch
So next step was keeping it more simple, realize the limitations and watch some s*#t load of tutorials.

The next silly thing was made to test techniquies and color behavior:
still quite a mess
And then the day of the final practice came. A friend ( Sebasvishno.deviantart.com ) and I orgnaized an event to go out with a bunch of introverted geeks like us, with an excuse: Painting all together the same tree in the Botanic Garden Carlos Thays in Buenos Aires. So I recorded only three steps of the process. The sketching and first color was made in the park, until close up, the rest was finished at my lovely terrace.
Here I achieved a little feeling of self respect.
And this is not the end, the next work is about getting a full polished ilustration, the sketching and linework will be available in this next WIP:
