We collaborated with Jonathan Gonzalez in the editorial design for the first edition of the Ixcatan climbing manual, a village located in northern Jalisco, Mexico.

 

The manual contains all the climbing routes in Ixcatan; these incluide rest stops as well as important warnings to follow in more complex routes, all of this to have the most safe and rewarding experience while visiting.

 

Our design approach was mainly to be an easy to understand manual combining the maps, texts and photos in harmony. We used hand drawn elements such as the icons and titles in order to give the manual a more fun and advernturous feel that matches the climbing characteristic of being a tough sport.
