Fifty Years of Helvetica

Helvetica first appeared in Croatia back in 1957. It was introduced in the form of Letrasets; an old designers tool used to create beautiful and various posters at that time. A competition took place in 2007, calling out to young creatives to design a poster to honor the fifty years of its usage in Croatia. Robert Čanak and I designed this poster for the competition. We were inspired by the forgotten Letrasets that fueled the creativity of the very first designers and artists.
It was somewhat time consuming but we had a lot of fun making this poster. We were cutting edges of certain letters, some of them were faded and blurred to give away the impression that they've been rubbed off with a pencil like in the old days.
