This body of work is an experimental set of painted illustrations and an ongoing research on visual perception and the complex relation people have with.

These texture-like patterns and distorted simple graphics represent very simple patterns on tridimensional surfaces we normally see in the real world.
Polka dots, squares and stripes are flattened into a two color texture, and meticulously painted on different supports and dimensions.

Our mind bounces between opposites:
abstraction and reality;
immobility and dynamism;
static flatness and moving depth.

As staring in front of a physical, tactile version of a digital GIF animation, this hypnotic sensation of movement happens all in our head.
