Pinky Bunny - Photoshop vs Affinity Designer

I wanted to see how Affinity Designer's pixel painting feature set stacked up to Photoshop's with a little experiment. I had created this retro styled Bunny originally in Photoshop and decided to take a crack at it in AD. I was excited with some earlier attempts at painting in AD so I thought a comparison would really reveal it's strengths and/or weaknesses. The original image on the left is PS the recreated AD image is on the right.
Here is the Affinity file on a retro coloured background.
Some of the underlying paths and pixel painted areas. The piece was created with a mix of pixel painting and vector path creation with extensive use of interactive effects. A non-destructive workflow that ended up being half the mb size of the photoshop version...
My layers stack for this one. Organization is the key for this style and Designer's mix of pixel and vector layers coexisting together and "playing nice" make this app a dream to work in allowing me to push things a little bit further than in the original piece. I was delighted with the outcome.
