Biography
Margarida Macedo Pereira is a Portuguese communication designer. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design (Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa) and a Master of Science in Digital Design (Pratt Institute, New York City).
In addition to independent work, Pereira has worked with well-known professionals in Lisbon, Paris, Sao Paulo, and New York City: Largo / Moshi Moshi, GBNT, Catherine Zask, Escola da Cidade, and Aruliden. Pereira has received the Erasmus Scholarship, to further her studies for a semester at the Free University of Bolzano, and the Leonardo da Vinci Scholarship to work with Catherine Zask in Paris. Pereira also has a special interest in dance. She has participated in several activities of contemporary dance at C.E.M..
 
Description
MoMA Soundings is a motion graphics design, based on Camille Norment's piece "Triplight", for the exhibition "MoMA Soundings: A Contemporary Score" at MoMA.
 
Communication Objective
The project explored the process and outcome from combining dynamic effects, typography, graphic and abstract shapes, to creatively illustrate sound.
 
Tools used
Several products were used to play with vectors, sound, and movement.
