Stop motion character, college 2014

This character was made using a range of different scrap items, its aim was to help communicate the narrative rather than looking aesthetically pleasing.
A brain was made from plasticine then coated in pva glue after this it was hung inside the characters head.
The character needed a rowing boat! This was effectively constructed using origami techniques.
Aluminium wire was used to make posable arms and hands.
To help stylise this rather unusual character I felt a paper pirates hat was relevant.
This image shows the studio setup when capturing the footage for the animation of the main character. After the lighting was arranged sequential photographs were taken and transferred into the Dragon stop motion package. Final editing could be done in After Effects.
