young & W!LD: Little Riots & Other Stories

W!LD RICE approached me to design several collaterals for young & W!LD's first production showcase. The collaterals were a production poster, an EDM with 2 versions catered to their different target audience as well as a production booklet.

young & W!LD is a division of W!LD RICE dedicated to training and nurturing Singapore’s most promising young talents. Under the stewardship of programme directors Rodney Oliveiro and Serena Ho, this innovative training programme aims to prepare the next generation of theatre practitioners for careers in our professional theatre industry.

Synopsis of the production:

A vampire, a tarot master and a phone sex operator cross paths. A drag queen, a father-in- training and a young Malay boy meet. Take an eye-opening journey into the hearts, minds and souls of characters both familiar and fantastical in Little Riots and Other Stories, a bold, poignant experimental piece inspired by personal experiences and pure imagination. Unfolding via two sets of intimately intertwined monologues crafted by the performers themselves, Little Riots and Other Stories is the thrilling debut showcase for this year's young and W!LD participants.

No cars will be burned. No one will die. But, in a performance space just a stone's throw away from the site of last year's Little India riot, we nonetheless promise you a riotous evening. There will be riots of laughter, riots of emotions and riots of words that will get you thinking, feeling, laughing and crying. Come and meet the young, promising theatre talents of tomorrow, in an exhilarating, thought-provoking evening brought to you by W!LD RICE and young and W!LD programme directors Rodney Oliveiro and Serena Ho.
