Charcol.69

Origin of fire.
Origins of the name: the correct way to spell it is "charcoal" but phonetically it sounds like "char-col"; in Mexico a lot of people don't speak english and that's why the (restaurant) owners chose to let it that way because it was easier to remember.

What is Charcol. 69? Charcol. 69 is a bizarre (kind of western) mexican restaurant (& bar) located at the side of a road in the city of Saltillo (Mexico). Their specialty:  Gourmet Tacos.

The request was simple: they want to create something for kitsch-modernist-industrial-cowboys URGENTLY.
—Up to now, the weirdest project I've ever done.

—This project was needed to be completed in less than a month and there wasn't any time to lose experimenting. So contrary of what at first was the client request I opted to search for a midpoint between the comercial and the conservative.

—I worked over the march and modified the design in line with the evolution of the project.
