I've been meaning to do a portrait of Michael C Hall as Dexter for a long time. I finally got around to it recently.
It took around 7 hours. I'll have a really nice photo up soon. I don't have my nice camera in St. Louis.

I usually start portraits by plotting out a large line drawing on tracing paper. I transfer the drawing to the canvas with charcoal.
