A Hyper Island Student Project
2014

52 International Students of Interactive Art Direction.
One objective: Go viral or go home.
One week to do something together.
The pilot project of our time at Hyper Island 'forced' the class of 52 to create something viral.
The strong Swedish cultural influence is apparent in that we decided to find out what music tastes like in a meatball recipe.

The Beatball software analyses sound with the help of the Echo Nest Algorithm and translates the result into different flavours i.e. it makes meatball recipes out of music. The project was a fine combination of electronics, code, carpentry & design.

It included a website to generate recipes, a meatball-making machine as large as our studio powered by Arduino, and promotional content - all posted to Kickstarter project.
