Garnish Exhibition Materials
Assignment
The task of the 10 week project was to create a museum exhibit and design materials. The hypothetical exhibit would be in the SCAD Museum of Art's main gallery space. With a chosen topic, a visual identity and graphic system was created. Narrative literature and a package design were created to communicate the concept of the exhibition.
Approach
The narrative literature is fashioned as recipe cards paired with a personality and mixology tips. Garnish illustrations are applied to respected cocktails to communicate its character. The Mix Kit contains the necessary tools to craft a cocktail of choice. A playful graphic system and refined typography resulted in a vibrant representation of the concept.
Results
Garnish is a fictional museum exhibition I conceptualized for Graphic Design Studio One at SCAD. The purpose of Garnish is to showcase the commonalities between a drinker and their drink through focusing on the elements that create it. Narrative literature and packaging was designed with the theme of drink(er) personalities.
