This space is close to the dietitian’s office so that the dietitian can use the space to educate patients and their families.

The education space is one of the spaces that family members and friends can retreat to while they wait for their loved one in treatment. The education space is important for teaching patients and their families about dialysis. Patients will be in the space several times a week as well as their families and friends so it is important that the space will intrigue interest as well as a healing and relaxing environment while encouraging community.
Dialysis Treatment
The dialysis treatment area is very important because patients spend more than twenty hours there a week. Each patient has their own storage for personal items and has control of the light over them. There are heated blankets and refreshments nearby to make the visit relaxing. Nature is brought into the space in the flooring as well as the glass separations to create a comfortable and healing environment.
