At Trader Joe's all artwork is hand-made and each store has their own in-house neighborhood artists. Every store advertises its own theme, based on the local community. Projects range in sizes from wall murals to small price tags. End caps are illustrated on chalk boards which, change out weekly and sometimes daily. Smaller projects are drawn on paper and then laminated. Other store projects are created on multiple mediums to keep the interest of the customers' eyes. For the most part I used large insolation sheets from Home Depot, then cut out my shapes, with a heated "wand" and used acrylics to hand paint them. Here are just a few of the everyday projects that I completed while working for Trader Joe's in Charlotte, North Carolina.
