Roca Jump the Gap competition in 2013 in cooperation with Iga Soszyńska.

The aim of this project originates in the problem of lack of verdure in our living spaces. Nowadays designers and their orderers stress the importance of inducting natural floral elements into the interiors, and we assume it will become a very essential aspect in the nearest future. We live faster, our living spaces are becoming smaller, and the appartments are more often divided into less spacial interiors. The design presents a shower as a mobile object- a division and at once a connection between private and public space in the flat. In response to that problem, the CLEANnGREEN project provides its users not only a substitute of natural environment, but also its utility- a shower- object of daily usage. Those two features were arranged togheter in order to  make planting and neat plant growth care easier, ecological and more efficient.

The shower works as a regular device, with additional facilities of irrigating the plants. The whole process functions simultaneously: water that is used for washing evaporates upwards, and the canals situated in the vertical reservoir transport the steam to another tank, located at the top of the shower, where the proccess of liquefaction ensues. Steamed water is accumulated, stored and then reused for watering the plants. That makes the shower an environmentally-friendly object, with an additional convenience of a self irrigating system, so vital and indispensable nowadays for people living their lives in a rush. The other advantage of this mechanism is about ventilation that becomes less necessery, as the steam is immediatly absorbed and reused. There’s no need to provide extra airing mechanism, and the comfort of breathing and adapting to the water’s temperature is preserved.
