Animation using frames and vectors including on websites and phone applications is a benefit that flash provides.The film is a television commercial that I made for the education of street children in India mainly focusing on children that grow up in construction areas.
"Kabuliwala"
Storytelling class project, 2009
Set in the early twentieth century Kolkata, Kabuliwala delicately explores the bonds of friendship, affection and parting in the relationship between a middle-aged Pathan trader and a five year old Bengali girl. It is a simple tale of a father’s love for his daughter and the transfer of that love to another little girl. It is a love that transcends the borders of race, religion and language.
Kabuliwala which literally means “The Kabuli Man” (better known in English as “The Fruitseller from Kabul”), is a story about the ancient and romantic friendship between India and Kabul city.
A toy-illustration is my depiction of this story, in a way to make it easy to explain the emotional depth of it's contents, using Matryoshka dolls.

This brilliant class undertaken by Prof. Mahendra Patel was a deconstruction of the process of designing a type face. We first made forms, which we converted into the type face of the letter 'S'. Then we formed other characters that could match this style. Looking at the abstract style we conjured up what it made you feel and that feeling was the name.
Quasar 5 Postcards

The theme of Quasar 5 (2012) was inspired by unfolded origami. This theme was to be utilised in each of the products including postcards, that folded into visiting card stands and event cards that could be used as bookmarks.
