Ahighlight of the three day event is The Running of the Sheep: 2000
RomneySheep charging down the main street. This year, Triton, a sheep drench
withthree active ingredients, was the sponsor.

Sheepracing. We attached three little fake lamb jockeys, one for each
ingredient,to three sheep, and mixed them in with the rest of the 2000. If you picked thewinner of our three, you went into the draw to win a De Walt
cordlessXRP power drill. Nice. We publicised the Triton Stakes with posters,
entryforms and an ad, upside down, on the back cover of the Shearing
Championshipsprogramme (so it looked like a racing digest magazine).
Forthe record, Shorn Thing came in first (of the 2000. Yes, hard to believe),
followedby Mint Sauce and Cardigan Bay ended up running off down a
sidestreet.
