In my opinion, the most important thing we should do yearly in life is....family portraits. It's as important to me as a vacation. Images of your children growing up and transforming are irreplaceable. I have been photographing my child since he was born, he has amazing images to remember his life by. Every year without fail we have images taken together, it's a history lesson for sure. There are other reasons family images are important, some close to home. We are not here forever. I can't tell you the amount of times people have "wished" they had better photographs of family members that have departed. I can attest to that as well, I have my own regrets, so I don't offer this advice lightly. I do have clients that have gallantly had their annual family sessions, they remind me often of how many compliments people give them for these photographs. It makes me feel good to know that I have captured this family on stills forever. It's all about history. So when was the last time you had your family portrait done? it's exceptionally important. I treasure mine.

Family portraits are not stoic boring images but fun filled and coordinated shoots.
