Carlo Martini's profile

Archeologia industriale (Industrial Archeology)

Glimpses interiors of old abandoned factories or abandoned , working environments fallen into disuse really exist in Italy and in the world . They are the prevalent themes of this series of works in which the protagonist has to be the Industrial Archaeology . The pictorial compositions made with acrylic on canvas and mixed media funds reproduce , strongly highlighting , shadows, lights and elements present in the work environment discontinued. In each of these perspective views ( central or accidental ) , there remains a common fundamental element that determines the direction of the works : the presence of doors or windows that allow light to invade the external environments in disuse ... the living reality that is the outside and doing " relive " what man has left . It is not essential to research and find the realization of these paintings a justification or a conceptual explanation : the deeper meaning lies in the emotion that the simple figurative representation of the subject is able to convey in the beholder. Fund polimaterico and acrylic on canvas
