The 11th of March 2011, Japan was hurted by a terrible Hearthquake and Tsunami. I was particulary touched because I visited the country a year before, and I was worry for my friends and colleagues working in Tokyo.
A french community of artist, CFSL, decided to raise funds to support people there, and I sent this original watercolor painting as a contribution. Considering the circumstances, I didn't want to represent this tragic event. I prefered to convey a more positive feeling to bring all the support I can.
That was finally selected to be published in a charity artbook and the original was sold for an auction.

"Bonsai" 11/03/11, watercolors and pencils , 148 × 210.
The original painting was sold among other great works as an auction to the Arludik Gallery in April, to raise funds for Japan. I'm glad this collect was a success !
