This animation was created for Dr. Todd Humphreys of the University of Texas at Austin to help publicise his classes' latest gps experiment. His students used gps spoofing to trick a yacht "The White Rose of Drachs" off of its intended course.  They were able to call attention to vulnerabilities in the current navigation system and cause them to be patched. The animation received a total of over 550,000 views on YouTube and was featured on PBS.
