A very nice Home Theatre with a red/black Theme...

The challenges on this project were the reverb time of this cellar and the fact that this space was open to the starway that went up to the bedrooms and the nursery... We've changed the ratio of the room by building a separation wall, a technical room was created to put the rack and the projector... We've also custom build 2 acoustical doors to provide the sound to leak into the stairway...

That way the clients can enjoy a good movie while their baby boy is sleeping upstairs...

This system is composed of
Klipsch 7.2 THX certified  speakers system
Lexicon preamp
NAD amplification.
For this installation, we transformed the living room of a newly build house into a fun media room with a conceiled projection screen and a plasma TV.

Talking about a good showroom... For this setup the client visited our shop and his wife and him fell in love with the demo room i've designed for the shop... So we treated the acoustic of the room with a false ceiling... We designed the furniture to conceil the electrical screen and hide the rack with the AV receiver...

This is a view of the back of the room... We've used 4 KEF inwall speakers for the surround channels.

The clients wanted us to paint the room the same way we did @ our showroom...
Sorry for the quality of this one but for this amazing home theatre, the theme was PITCH BLACK

The challenges on this system were that the client wanted a 9" barco projector to illuminate a 2,7m acoustically transparent screen (from STEWART)...

We've decided to have the walls, carpet and ceiling matt black to maximize the luminosity of the screen... We had also to take care of the insulation and treatment of this room (adjacent to a vindicative neighbour).

For all of you tech lover ... This room has the most BASS i've ever experienced... you can litterally feel the punches of a soundtrack... (the client loves it)

It's a 7.5 (yes 5 massive subs) CITATION system with CITATION amps...
a LEXICON MC12HD EQ preamp
Bluray and HD-DVD (modified with HD-SDI output through a DVDO Scaler to output the signal in 1080p on RGBHV to accomodate the analogic inputs of the BARCO Cine9 (also known as CINEMAX)

This one ais a gem for movie buff...

a very small room (4m long, 3,3m wide) with massive challenge for the acoustical treatment, but we came through and icing on the cake... it's a 2.35 screen with an anamorphic lense...

we also took care of the lighting thanks to a inexpensive LUTRON IR dimmer
This is a nice project for a lovely couple...

In partnership with their interior designer while a remodelling of their house we've build a dry wall to integrate the TV, the artwork is sliding in front of the TV when it's not used... Their DVD collection is stored on a Kaleidescape server...
The home theatre is just a click on ther remote away with a nice integration with a lutron Homeworks system that takes care of the blinds, the lights, the projection screen and ....
the lift for the projector... note that all the speakers are inwalls from Sonance (VP series) (on this pic it's hiding just behind the light bulbs)...
