Poster design for Frederic Kau's
"Those Who Follow"
Project Overview
After a social media call on Instagram, I reached out to Frederic Kau to offer my services as a poster designer for his film "Those Who Follow", which was nominated for the Student Oscars. Once I received all the necessary pictures and materials, I began the design process.
Initial Designs
I started by creating three different designs, focusing heavily on typography. we chose the font "Grobe Deutschmeister" to evoke the feeling of old German texts, which aligns with the movie's themes of nationalism within the German police force. To enhance this connection, I incorporated the colors of the German flag as a blurred light stripe behind the title.

Final Design
For the final design, Frederic selected the poster featuring two different images of the protagonist Mirko (played by Arton Bunjaku): one with a police ski mask and one showing his face. This design effectively captures Mirko's inner conflict between his duty and the rising nationalism within his team.
The final design was produced in three variations: A fully colored version, a fully black-and-white version and a mixed black-and-white with color version (which became the final poster).
Additionally, we created a second poster in the same style but with the angles of the ski mask face and the exposed face switched.
