Al-Hilal Confirms Saudi League Win With 3 Games To Go

Al-Hilal won 4-1 in the 31st round of the 2023-24 Saudi Pro League against Al-Hazm at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on the 12th (Korea time).

As a result, Alhilal became unbeaten in the league this season, widening the gap with second-place Alnasr (77 points) to 12 points with 29 wins and two draws (89 points), and winning early regardless of the results of the remaining three games.

Alhilal, who had won the league for three consecutive years since the 2019-20 season and lost the trophy to Rietihad last season, lifted the trophy in two years. It was his ninth league win in his career.

Alhilal was concerned about weakening his power as Neymar, who suffered a knee injury in Brazil's national team match in October last year, was out of power.

But under veteran leader Jorge Jesus, top players such as Aleksandar Mitrovic, Sergei Milinkovic-Savic, Malcolm, Huven Neves, Kalidou Koulibaly and Yasin Bunu worked together to win the championship.

With Al-Hilal's victory, Al-Nasr's Cristiano Ronaldo ranked second for the second consecutive season after moving to the Saudi League. Ronaldo is the top scorer with 33 goals this season, but failed to lead his team to the championship.
