Collection of storage modules

I designed set of modules which are made of oak wood in combination with elastic string. The net of strings is designed as a storage space for all different kinds of objects in the interior. The main version is a coat rack in two basic dimensions. The upper part of the coat rack is intended as a storage space for scarfs, hats, gloves etc... The lower part for hanging coats, jackets and other types of garments. The legs are demountable for easy transportation and at the same time it allows the use of the modules as a freestanding storage system in the interior ( for example to store toys or use it as a bedside cabinet, silent servant etc.).

I designed a product that both serves various types of functions and also an art object in the interior. The minimalistic design of the wooden construction in contrast to the chaotic net of strings creates a harmonious whole that could be a statue at the same time.

Kolekce úložných modulů

Navrhl jsem kolekci modulů, vyrobených z dubového masivu, jež jsou propletené elastickými lanky, vytvářející síť sloužící k zachycení libovolných předmětu v interiéru. Primární variantou je stojanový věšák ve dvou základních rozměrech. Horní část je určena k ukládání šál, čepic a rukavic. Do spodní části se na háčky nebo ramínka dají zavěsit kabáty, bundy a další typy oděvů. Podnoží je k horní části přišroubováno pomocí metrických šroubů do závitových vložek, díky čemuž je věšák rozebratelný pro snadný transport. Varianta modulů bez podnoží slouží jako volně stojící úložný systém nebo objekt do interiéru ( například k ukládání hraček, sluha nebo jako postranní stolek u postele apod.).

Navrhnul jsem jednak produkt, který slouží rozličným typům funkcí a jednak soběstačný umělecký objekt do interiéru. Geometricky minimalistická konstrukce v kontrastu k na první pohled chaotické síti lanek, vytváří harmonický celek, který poslouží jako socha v interiéru.

“I was thinking how in a different way, using different materials people could stored things in an interior.

Usually things are stored in shelves, boxes, drawers etc. I wanted to find unusual approach how to store things.

At the beginning I glued a cube from skewers. I was looking at the cube and I was thinking how could I fix the objects inside of the cube. I build up a frame in a real scale and I was trying to weave strings in a different patterns. Finally I invented pattern which creates visually disordered net of strings where you could easily hang any object. At the same time you can see the objects which are fixed in the web and you can easily take them out.”
