Puyita | A modern tuscan font

When I traveled to Amsterdam back in 2022, I was fascinated by the Tuscan typefaces that adorned coffee shop signs, drugstores, and restaurants. ‘Puyita,' which is Spanish for ‘little spike,' is my first interpretation of Tuscan letterforms. Featuring three distinct styles, this display font intersects modern and rustic expression, intended for branding and typographic compositions. In addition to the main Tuscan style, the secondary decorative style, ‘Cortada,' inverts the spikes and contours inward, creating a concave space that evokes a whole new personality. Finally, a Sans version omits all decoration in favor of a simple, yet relaxed and legible style. In the future, Puyita might gain more weight within the family.
