Color Studies: Composition

In this project, I used Adobe Photoshop to combine various images to create a peculiar composition. The composition combines images of small flames (fire), teacups (dishes), and amphibians in the setting of inside a building. Initially, the images were placed in a kitchen setting. It focused on the fire in a frying pan surrounded by various amphibians and dishes. In further exploration, the intense fire in the kitchen evolved into candle lights on a dining table. The kitchen scene turned into a dining table setting. The amphibians crawl alongside the table made up of teacups and candle lights.

In Photoshop, I began with selecting images and masking them. Once the images were masked, I organized them according to what made sense in a composition. I paid attention to sizing, focus, and perspective. Afterwards, I focused on altering shadows, highlights, and lighting.

In the final step, I used the mixed brush to create an oil painting effect. I used small strokes to keep the detail visible.

Overall, this project was exciting to create. My favorite part being the oil painting effect.
