This piece was for my Foundation Drawing I class. I was instructed to draw my fellow classmates with charcoal; I used mainly willow sticks & pencils, as well as kneaded erasers. The goal was to demonstrate control with addition (applying charcoal) and subtraction (using kneaded eraser) on the scale of value, which is visible in the high contrasts of light & dark.
