NEW LIGHTHOUSE
The lighthouse is a place of attraction that emits light and shows the way to ships among the raging sea and rocks. Design proposal for the renovation of Torre Rinalda is based on the image of the Lighthouse. The conceptual idea of the project is to hide the light inside the tower. In this context, light is a metaphor for the renewal and enlightenment of people. Typologically similar to the lighthouse, the tower glows from the inside, showing the way to interested travelers. The architectural elements emphasize the features of the tower and create a single visit route. The design proposal is a part of the global strategy to turn Torre Rinalda and the rest of the coastal towers into a cultural and tourist centers with a developed infrastructure.
