Approach

This project is a coptic bound book for the Book Structures class. The  structure of the book was created by me, including the decorated paper on the outside cover and the serigraphy print on the inside cover. I also bound the book and created the content inside one of the signatures, the of the pages where printed by other students and traded with each other to create a full book. The inside printed pages where printed with a risograph printer. The key for the risographs where made in Procreate and then altered in photoshop. The theme of this project was choosing random words to create a poem, and then creating graphics to go along with it. I am not much of a poet, and struggled to make anything coherent, so instead I leaned into this otherworldly, chaotic, or alien design, with "non-sense" words to go with it. I took inspiration from older "creepy" video games with the bitmapping on the images, getting that lightly pixelated design in there too.
