In a life where we usually travel comfortably by cars or planes, sometimes trying out local transport can give us greatest experiences, such as listening to interesting life stories from random passengers, a smile from someone you help with their luggage makes you feel so good, calming down by looking out of the train window and enjoying the views, and of course, the best of all, tasting local foods that the vendors come with in the train. One of them is our personal favorite, Jhalmuri. ❤️
During my local train journey recently, I spotted the Jhalmuri vendor, but couldn’t purchase any as I had to get down at the next stop. Since then, thoughts of it have been on my mind, and I’m unable to sleep. The craving for Jhalmuri, with its tangy potatoes, chili, special roasted spices, and mustard oil has been persistent. 🥲
