DPRIAN Gig Posters

Both of these posters were made to focus on the alternative R&B artist DPRIAN. Each of the poster’s imagery is based on song titles from different albums and are made using a limited color palette: pink, blue, and orange. The first poster, named Peanut Butter and Tears, is based off of a song with the same name from the album Dear Insanity.... I interpreted this by creating the imagery of an eye crying with the tear turning into a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich. I paired this with a wavy, hand written font to give the whole image a psychedelic feel. The second poster, Scaredy Cat, combines the songs “Dope Lovers”, “No Blueberries”, and “Scaredy Cat” from the album Moodswings in This Order. To show all of these songs in the imagery I decided to include the two scared cats on the top of a blueberry themed cake with their tales in the shape of a heart. For this poster I went with more of a cut paper look.
