Uma Kopi, a cafe located in Jakarta, serves as a hub for various local communities, including photography enthusiasts, biking clubs, and vinyl record collectors. Drawing inspiration from jazz record album covers, Uma Kopi’s art direction for its social media and promotional materials embodies a playful yet refined aesthetic.
This direction featured an exploration of bold typography, minimalist illustrations, and high contrast photos combined with less saturated color palette that exudes warmth and charm. Elements such as stamps and stickers serve as focal points in key visuals.
The overall art direction is crafted is to evoke a sense of laid-back contentment, inviting people into a space that feels inviting, and imbued with a vintage-masculine vibe, all while maintaining an underlying sense of playfulness.
