Es un libro con gran cantidad de fotografías históricas, así como ilustraciones que acompañan el texto. Las autoras del libro son Magdalena González Crespí y Cristina Llorente Roca. Gracias a su gran trabajo de investgación e involucración en la vida del barrio, este libro muestra la historia y la vida del barrio de Pere Garau a través de las voces de sus propios habitantes.
Las dos cubiertas diferentes forman parte de dos ediciones diferentes.
La mayor parte de las fotografías que aparecen en el libro son de Jaume Gual y, las ilustraciones son de Flavia Gargiulo.
