This artwork composes a four piece series of poster-like illustrations made in 2022. They were made in pairs, sharing a inner storytelling, complementing each other conceptually and visually. My goal was experiment with different forms, textures and emulations from other media, trying to recreate a retro visual from artworks like the soviet posters from the Cold War period.

In this pair I reference an important popular cultural expression from Northeastern Brazilian region, the Cordel Literature. They are little books with short stories illustrated with woodcut prints. The main theme behind it is the deforestation and the way it impacts on the life-cycle of rivers and all that is around them.
