Gianna Cafasso's profile

project statement
The purpose of this project is to create a personal logo for the owner's future career endeavors. Gianna Cafasso, the brand owner, has experience in multiple distinct, yet interconnected fields. The shape of her name appears as a bridge, conveying her ability to connect, or "bridge," between industries in her work. The bridge shape is also a nod to Gianna's roots, as she is originally from Pittsburgh, the city of bridges.

The logo is primarily text, apart from a rounded triangle symbolizing the edges of a bridge on both sides of the owner's name. The font for the name is a warped version of Espiritu Condensed. The distinctiveness and easy readability that the font maintains even in its warped shape illustrates the owner's individuality and flexibility in her work. As a neutral color, the use of cool grey further represents this, as it is able to work alongside other colors flawlessly. The grey symbolizes the brand's versatility, while also serving as a further link to Pittsburgh, historically known as the Steel City. A bold version of the Mokoko Variable font presents the tag under the owner's name, providing a touch of structure, yet still maintaining consistency and simplicity. The choice of bold for this font aids in the preservation of the same relative weight and roundness that both the text and central bridge shape feature.
