Glorious Grids - Layout and Composition (DDN-125)

Glorious Grids
For the glorious grid's assignment, we were tasked with selecting an animal to untimely use to create three levels of graphics using provided shapes in inspiration of Alvin Lustig's print artwork.
The Process
We first had to sketch out at least 2 designs for each level of complexity. With the total amount of levels being 3 having low, medium and high. With the unit sizes being 7x9, 12x14, and 18x14 with the option to flip the canvas for a horizontal or vertical canvas. After creating a minimum of 6 total sketches, we then got to choose which one we would create for each size.
The Final Design
After selecting my favorite sketch for each of the three sizes, I then brought each of them into illustrator to recreate them with the provided shapes. After creating my deer, I created a fun background to go with it to bring the pieces together.
