If you ever head down to the world's second largest
& according to me one of the world's most colorful canyons
Let me give you a word of advice on your approach:
DO NOT take the regular path
DO take the side 4 x 4 route
it's sooo much more rewarding & you get to see a whole other side of the canyon
Small warning though: there's yet another side track designated by a sign which says:
4x4...ISH
DON'T be fooled & if you're not an experienced 4x4 driver
accompanied by a very decent 4x4, you will fly down...
only to get stuck on your way back up ^^

Natural speed bumps
Our quite decent 4x4 which managed to get halfway the 4x4 ISH route...
Turned back right before a small drop of 10m in elevation over 50m of road. For the math fans: yes that's about 20% with rocks - larger than our tieres - sticking out of the surface, we decided not to reck our chasis ^^
Besides the every now and then challenging terrain, it feels like a rocky paradise, free massages included ^^
