The word ascension inspired this album cover. A butterfly was selected to symbolize the shifts we go through as we rise above challenges.The butterfly is distorted to convey movement and change. A textured black-and-white background was used to create a sense of contrast conceptually and visually. The white-speckled background represents winter, and the bright blue-green butterfly signifies spring. The string of circles represent connectedness and community in the upper left and lower right corners. A symbol was added in the upper right corner to portray the weight we can feel on our shoulder.
