A Zine of Wim Crouwel
an elaborate zine...
During my study abroad in Venice, Italy, one of the many projects was to design a zine dedicated to a well-known graphic designer. I chose Wim Crouwel; famous Dutch graphic designer and typographer of the 20th century. A typeface he is popularly known for creating is New Alphabet; based on a dot-matrix system. The typeface follows a grid, in which Crouwel was obsessed with.
Zine: ( /ˈzn/ zeen; an abbreviation of fanzine, or magazine) is most commonly a small circulation publication of original or appropriated texts and images.

When I was finishing the zine in late March, I found out that London's Design Museum was exhibiting Wim Crouwel: a Graphic Odyssey Exhibition! It is currently at Stedelijk Museum (Aug 13-Oct 10 2011). Hope to pay a visit one day where ever it may be.
