To carry out this urban collective housing project, we sought to develop a concept similar to that of the Farnsworth House by Mies van der Rohe. To achieve this, a linear space was created, only contradicted by the perpendicularity of its divisions. Another concern is the exposure of the house to the street, trying to create a connection to it. For the distribution corridors of the apartments, the same street concept was used and each apartment will have a small communication space for it, being a type of terrace. The exposed metal structure serves as a way of reducing and simplifying the building's construction as much as possible, but also to provide a very striking visual identity. Due to this structural option, it will be necessary to carefully insulate the building to reduce thermal bridges as much as possible. The building will be insulated from the inside, with the detail that the slabs will be insulated on both the top and bottom sides, in order to isolate the entire interior of the homes. The insulation material to be used will be the most common in construction, but already introducing some more “environmentally friendly” materials such as cork. It should be noted that the economic concern was always present to ensure that the base value of homes was as low as possible. The housing's finishing materials follow the same economic note as the rest of the work, but, however, in this field, the main factor was looking for materials that bring the greatest comfort to residents.
