Designed to visualise information about the results of 3/11 Tohoku Earthquake as the rippling effects a single incident had on an entire country.
This not just in geological terms, but also how all the complex ingredients for disaster would set off multiple strings of events that otherwise would not have happened.Facts and statistics outside of the main graphic were added create more of a story, showing how the effects in certain areas turned out the way it did, or how the number of casualties didn’t reflect the nuclear threat that resulted.
