Task:
Create a captivating video to promote Advanced Collagen – a dietary supplement containing UC- II® collagen, hyaluronic acid and boron, and providing joint and muscle pain relief.
Solution:
We took the rather common insight that joint and muscle pain hits when you least expect it thus ruining your day, and applied it to a superhero scenario. Because if a supplement is good enough for an extraordinary character with special powers, then it should definitely help you, too.
After quite a few sketches, careful modelling and precise rigging (probably) the first superhero suffering from acute pain in the joints and muscles was born. The art direction, the polished textures and the lightning were inspired by recent and classical comic books and movies. A crime-ridden and gloomy urban megalopolis served as a setting for some signature moves in 3D like the roof ledge jump, the light signal run, the camera pose and the billboard landing. Animated sequences from popular superhero films were used as a reference for the animation and the body positions. Well, most of the moves didn’t work, which is understandable considering the pain our protagonist was experiencing at the time. The much-needed twist came not from a chiropractor but from the miraculous appearance of Advanced Collagen. A previously tormented superhero was in full control of his superpowers again and ready to restore law and order in the city. Watch how the story unfolded below!
