Tonali caught in 50 additional cases of ‘illegal gambling’ after transferring to Newcastle

Over the addiction level. Sandro Tonali was found to have broken betting rules even after his move to Newcastle United.

"Newcastle has admitted its allegations of misconduct in relation to Tonali's alleged violation of FA betting rules," Newcastle said on its website on the 28th (Korea Standard Time). Tonali is fully responding to related investigations, and the club maintains its full support, officially announcing that it has.

Further detection. British public broadcaster BBC reported: "Tonali broke the betting rules 50 times between August 12 and October 12, 2023." With his bets already suspected at AC Milan, Tonali moved to Newcastle and then dabbled in gambling again. He is likely to face further disciplinary action.

The Italian national Tonali spent his youth at brescia calcho and made his professional debut in 2017. He was a significant contributor to the promotion of the team at the age of just 18. In the 2018-19 season, Tonali played in 34 Serie B matches, scoring three goals and seven assists, helping the team move up to Serie A.

Tonali also proved his worth in the first team. The team struggled, but Tonali alone shined. Despite being a defensive midfielder, he showed off his potential by playing in all weather conditions. Tonali has a great ability to distribute the ball from side to side, mainly playing in the third round. As a result, he was nicknamed the "second Andrea Pirlo."

He is not a playmaker from behind. Tonali is not a player who plays from behind like Pirlo, but rather a player who moves the ball forward from behind and assists offense with his activism and physically. He is a player who puts strong pressure on defense and is willing to play aggressively.

These performances added him to the big club's recruiting list. Eventually, he wore a Milan jersey in the summer of 2020. His first season after the transfer was below expectations. However, Tonali flew out of the 2021-22 season. He contributed greatly to his team's first scudetto in 11 years, scoring five goals and three assists in 45 appearances in all competitions.

But I was pushed back and had to leave Milan. He was shocked last summer when Milan's board dismissed Paolo Maldini, who was considered "Milan itself," as sporting director. Tonali had a deep affection for Milan, but he could not hide his disappointment at the board's removal of Maldini.

Despite reportedly expressing his intention to remain in Milan, he was very disappointed to see the board accept Newcastle's offer. Eventually Tonali decided to move to Newcastle due to this behaviour and found a new home.

But two months after the move, it caused a huge stir. Football Italy reported in October that "Newcastle's Tonali and Aston Villa's Nicolo Zaniolo were also investigated for alleged betting violations, following Juventus midfielder Nicolo Pagoli."

In the end, Tonali was given a severe punishment. At the time, Newcastle officially announced on its website that "the sanctions Tonali received from the Italian Football Confederation (FIGC) include a total ban of 18 months. If he participates in a 16-point treatment plan and training program in Italy, his sentence will be reduced by eight months." At the time, Tonali was accused of breaking FA betting rules No. 232.

He will be eligible to return on August 27, 2024. Until then, Tonali will be able to train with his Newcastle teammates but will not be able to compete in any matches. Tonali will not be able to participate in Euro 2024.

There is also the possibility of further disciplinary action. Sky Sports said, "The new 50 charges are under the jurisdiction of the KFA. Tonali is facing sanctions which can be determined by an independent judging panel. He has until April 5 to answer each of the 50 charges. You can either accept or reject the answer. An independent judging panel will judge each case individually."  안전놀이터
