Franks Automotive Repair Company Case Study
Franks Auto Repair project was a fun way to get to know all the things a graphic designer would need to know how to design for branding identification. In this case study you'll be able to see the behind the scenes of the logo process and some of the changes in designs.

Logo
To start any project or brand one must come up with a logo. Hundreds of logos are thought up and then narrowed down to 3-5 for the client to choose from. Below are just a few of the earlier iterations of logos and color combinations.
After talking with the client I can to the conclusion of using the style seen below. The typeface I chose was Futura and rounded it for a more friendly feel while still being mechanical overall.

Business Card / Pattern
The business card is self explanatory for I used elements from the pattern I created to tie it to other elements in the brands system.
The pattern is all vector images of mechanical parts typically found in and around a mechanics shop and car. Each element was hand crafted and put together to create the pattern seen below.

Whole Branding System
Using a variety of mockups and the pattern created, I arranged and designed out what everything should look like to tie it back to the brand's identity. The system seen is just a small portion of what all could be a part of it.
